Ethan James Young is a Songwriter, Music Producer, and Film Composer who has written in several different genes and styles.
As a film composer, Ethan has been nominated several times for his scores. With his inventive composing (and Chloe’s award winning lyrics) in “Sickness” written for the full feature Obsessions Rising, Ethan and Chloe Vonkoelsch were Quarterly Winners at Zepfest (Best Soundtrack and Best Alternative/Indie Song, 2026, Round 4). He has also worked on several other short films including The Followed, Monday's Lasagna, Francesca, Making Contact, and more. Ethan creates a wide range of music for these films; anything from dark textural atmospheres to elegant thematic melodies, whatever music that will enhance the story most.
As a music producer, Ethan has worked on a variety of genres including Pop, Jazz, RnB, Rap/Hip-Hop, EDM, Disco, Funk, and more. Some of his best work includes Kate Fitz and the Romantics’s “Wishful Thinking” and Becca Marie’s “Wallflower”.
Ethan is also a songwriter who has written and released dozens of songs.
